So by chance I found this nice Park Tool PRS-21 bike service stand at a local thrift shop for only EUR 4.50, which is next to nothing of course. I had to look it up and it appears to be an older one from the early 2000's. As far as I can see it was originally intended for racing bikes, but it works equally well with my mountain bikes.

Is there a reason I don't see this type of bike stand more often? Is the fact that the front wheel has to be removed to mount it a drawback? However it is super sturdy and I already like it!

  1. It’s too complicated and unstable if you put force onto it. Also you can only use bikes with a qr skewer.
