Old time bike generator and a carbide bike light!
Today I charged the bike computer, the electric shift, the power meter the tail light, and my heart rate monitor! Miss the days when I just had a bike light that got its power from leaning a generator against the wheel. My grandfather just added a carbide pill, water, pump pressure and light!

You can still buy rim generators that you can use for running lights or charging devices! They have some advantages over hub dynos.
