This might well have a simple two letter answer, but am I being stupid pushing the boundary of gravel to include farm tracks with deep, narrow ruts? Narrow enough that either one pedal or the other touches the side and deep enough that your BB is about level with the sides. I can’t ride in them for the aforementioned reasons and I can’t ride between them because there’s about 8 inches between ruts, and also the grass atm makes seeing the edges very hard. There’s a lot of them round me (North Wessex Downs, S England). Inexperienced off-roader but more experienced on roadies.

Ruts like that you’re asking for a bad time. I’ve ended up hitting some at speed during a race and that didn’t end well
Apparently the new “spirit of gravel” is terrain that makes you work thrice as hard as walking but move at the same speed
