Also am intrigued by the position of the struts for the fender/mudguard. Would expect them to be much further apart.
If it’s any comfort, returning from a race my friend bunnyhopped a kerb & the front wheel came out. He’d filed off the little lugs which help stop the wheel falling out for quicker wheel changes. 🤦🏻♂️

i had this happen to my bike when i was about 8, i mustve been messing with it and left it in the open position and the nut on the end managed to rattle itself off. thankfully i noticed before i lost my teeth lol

Sorry this happened to you. As you have guessed someone tried to steal your wheel and ended up doing slmething that could have costed you your life. Can’t imagine of a worse dick move.
