The Netherlands, a country in northwestern Europe, is known for a flat landscape of canals, tulip fields, windmills and cycling routes. Amsterdam, the capital, is home to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the house where Jewish diarist Anne Frank hid during WWII. Canalside mansions and a trove of works from artists including Rembrandt and Vermeer remain from the city’s 17th-century “Golden Age.”
But what would happen if they formed an empire today?

I think it would be more believable if the Netherlands and Denmark joined together, forming their empire.
Persoonlijk denk ik dat we nadat we Denemarken hebben veroverd de landen moeten verbinden met een soort afsluitdijk en daarna langzaam moeten gaan inpolderen, dat is beter als je geld vergooien aan een oorlog aan de Belgen… Die volgen ons vanzelf wel!!!!
1) If the Dutch want more land they take it from the sea.
2) Belgium would never fight back, there high national debt will be gone and they will get good roads.
3) Denmark are Vikings, that Dutch are smart enough not to fight Vikings.
4) We don't want more colonies, we are still trying to get rid of Aruba, Curacao, st. Martin and our special colonies. Unfortunately under international law they have to leave voluntary.
5) Suriname would love to be back in the Netherlands, they are struggling with high national debt as well.

Loved this video but I think the most realistic and historical Dutch expansion is Belgium, Luxembourg, northern France and north west Germany. These are all historical Dutch lands so it would make sense to create a Dutch empire (or better Greater Netherlands) with those territories.
