Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) remains the man to beat at the 2024 Lidl Deutschland Tour. He also claimed victory on the second stage, winning the sprint in Heilbronn despite celebrating before the finish line. Milan crossed the line over two bike lengths ahead of Jordi Meeus (Red Bull – Bora – Hansgrohe), with Max Kanter (Astana Qazaqstan) finishing third. Milan continues to lead the overall, points, and youth classifications. Santiago Buitrago (Bahrain Victorious) took the mountain jersey. The stage saw breakaways like Nick Bangert’s, but with 12 km left, the peloton regrouped. Despite attacks on the final climb, Milan, supported by strong teamwork, dominated the sprint once again.
