My partner shiftet a gear and suddenly whenever she pedals, the drivechain starts jumping whenever she pedals. As you can see from the video, the chain sort of jumps once she pedals and it makes a noticeable thunk sound. I am assuming that there’s something wrong with the gears? We bought the bike from a bikeshop about 2 days ago used if that is of any relevance.
I tried flipping the bike over to see what was wrong and I tried rotating the pedals with my hands and when I do that, I don’t notice anything especially wrong with the drivetrain. In addition to the video, I have some pictures of parts of the drivetrain. Please let me know if I need to take some more pictures, as I am a novice in bike repair 🙂

I think the chain tension is just set too loose.
If that that is the issue, the bike shop you bought it from should fix it for free and in about 2 minutes.

Take it back to the bike shop and tell them the issue, it’ll probably take them 10mins to rectify. I assume it will be the gear adjustment but its hard to tell

It could be that the chain or too loose or that the cable tension for the internal gear hub shifter needs to be adjusted. If you just bought it bring it back to the shop and have them adjust it for you.

I see the chain slapping hard, too loose.

STOP RIDING.
Your internally geared hub is indexed improperly! If you keep riding, you risk destroying the hub completely!!
