    $40 for the knowledge to use a cable tie and not just replace a BB which would be a lot more.
    I’m sure if you was a regular they wouldn’t even have charged for that.
    My local bike shop gets lots of snacks from Costco to keep my bills lower πŸ˜‚

  3. WTFF $40 to throw on a zip tie? Even if you walked in for the first time we wouldnt charge for that. We’d send you on your way, knowing you’d be back in the future.

  4. Don’t worry dude. We all do it. I have been chasing a clunking on my race mtb. Myself and the mechanic had tried everything and last was it was the internal cables flopping around.

    Turned out it was the magnetic lever on the QR. i had completely pulled the bb apart, torn everything top to bottom on the bike trying to find it.

    Looking at your comments looks like you have a solid shop.
