  1. In honor of the 11th year that I’ve considered this bike to be mine, after pulling it out of the barn and taking it with me to college.

    My dad bought this bike in 1981 in preparation for a year long tour of the United States and Canada (1st picture).

    It was his daily driver for most of the 80’s and 90’s, including hauling me and my brothers around in a seat on the back or pulled behind in a trailer. Eventually the bottom bracket bearings were shot and he figured they couldn’t be replaced since its an old French bike, so it went into the barn. (dad is an n+1 kind of guy)

    in August of 2013 I decided to take it out of the barn and bring it to college, trying to turn it into a single speed. fortunately I discovered that the bottom bracket is English .

    This year I decided to give the bike and overhaul so here she is
