I enjoyed that little jaunt. I shouldnt be worried too much about your nonsense songs Barry, I used to sing when I drove. I forgot to ask how the new kitten is getting on? I shall be going out and about soon because my blind person's travel pass arrived today – I sound like a right saddo to be excited about a travel pass lol.
Omg this must have been today, I saw the low loader in the layby. I think that was me in the Müller truck on the opposite side of the carriage way behind the trees at 10:20 😂
The factory became Leyland DAF when the Dutch company merged with Leyland Motors in 1987, but it's been "Leyland Trucks" since DAF went bust in 1993. My old man got made redundant as a result. I was only 11 at the time, but I remember it because he was in the background of a Granada News report they did outside the factory gates. Leyland Trucks is still going strong today, and DAF are still involved. I also remember being amazed seeing 'Leyland' badges on trucks all over the place when I was a kid (on TV and when we were on our holidays), and my dad would always say "I did most of the wiring on that." He even worked on the "Challenga Anneka" truck. 😁
Is it "these are the things that are sent to tryers" or "these are the things that are said to tryers". Need clarification for the next time I'm sat behind someone texting at a green light

Hi Barry, does the retarder come off automatically when you press the gas or do you have to switch it off?

Daf was Dutch but they definitley were Leyland Daf at one point
So whats the benefits of using retarder instead of brakes? Fuel consumption?
