  1. After my 2008 26″ fully had it’s rear shock leak again, i decided to get something newish. It was a good ride, but stuff kept going bad, even when servicing everything well. New bike was not much more expensive than reworking the suspension all the time and the bearings were needing a swap as well..

I ripped out the tubes, transplanted my pedals and grips and the brakes, because what was on it was garbage. Surprisingly to me, I prefer the new handlebar and even saddle.

Very plush and comfy ride, tons of grip, a bit less agile than my old. Now i just need to get the front spokes to stop making plinking noise under load, and try to get the squaking of the breakes down to a minimum again. (Formula brakes are notorious for squeaking, especialy when it gets wet)

So far I really like where the geometry trends went in the last decade. I always liked wide handlebars. Short stem, bigger rake angle feels very nice too. I ‘m still not sure about the tyres but i could always go 29.
