My advice is do not do any more jumps till you learn how. I am no expert but that looks like you just went full speed sitting down on the seat and simply road over it. I think the only reason you survived was because the jump has almost no lip. Even with no lip it looks to me like your back tire is starting to go ass over tit as you approach the landing. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in and let me know how wrong I am but that was my impression.

Are you… sitting on your seat? Your seat should be slammed down. You can’t maneuver over your CoG with that thing in the way, you’re basically letting forest Jesus take the bars on that one. You came a little close to casing, and you were very front heavy. If those two combine, you’re guna have a bad time.
There’s plenty of videos explaining jumping mechanics and technique on YT. Just watch one of those so you actually get the visual reference instead of reading people try to explain it through text on reddit (no offense keyboard warriors).

Don’t try the big lip that your friend is filming on top of haha.

While others say it seemed like you were sitting down it looks like you actually just came into it a bit too far back, resulting in unequal compression of your fork and shock. You did a good job of absorbing some of that rebound from the shock with your legs so as not to go OTB, but next time think hips and knees forward, standing upright and keeping those arms weighted against the force of the lip. Then, don’t let that back wheel hop up before you reach the end of the lip and you’ll arc like a champ.

Balls of steel but I agree with what others have said. Learn on some smaller stuff with less severe consequences. Thanks for sharing though👍🏼

This Dead Sailor is super sketchy. Learn to jump a curb first.

I thought that was gonna end in a terrible crash… Your front end about cased the end jump and you coulda gone otb. You really need to pick up your front end first before you go off the jump so this doesn’t happen.

Go to YouTube University, learn how to jump then start small. Work your way up to this or you’re gonna end up broken.

P.S. I’m not gonna listen to anything you say if you have no actual downhill experience. I’m not taking advice from keyboard warriors that don’t go outside, and when they do, they go on green or blue trails only (nothing wrong with that, just means youre not a in a place to critique)

All the speed and no pop at all. Watch yourself come off that lip in slow motion. Nothing.
Slow down, pop, move the bike in the air. Don’t just launch and pray.
