An object fell off a shelf right onto my Kona Rove’s top tube. The bike is steel, and I’m wondering if this is just a cosmetic issue and can be ‘fixed’ as such (I’m thinking with body filler and a paint job) or will it require a more proper repair? This is a bit of a bummer as the bike is barely a year old.

send it and keep an eye on it, Steel is real, I wouldn’t worry.
It’d need the tube replacing rather than just adding filler but that’s expensive.
How gnarly is your riding?
Don’t repair this unless paint is chipped, if so dropper/brush some clear over it. I would ride this bike.
No bigee. Ride it.
I’ve been riding a frame with a similar dent for nearly 5 years and 4000mi now, should be fine.
It’s just cosmetic don’t worry about it, it won’t affect the ride or the strength of the frame.
I would ride this without worrying.
The real crime is that sock/slipper combo..
The bike is fine.
Aero dimple.
