Leaving tomorrow for 2 nights and 300km in southern Austria/northern Italy.
It’s gonna be warm (30 degrees). I am doubting if I should still switch out 2×0,75l bottles for 2×1,5 thermo bottles. Advisable? Or just too much weight?
Oh man, been on the hunt for those focus adventure racks, how are they? I guess they balance a bit the handling lowering the center of gravity, unlike the seatbag we all know. I’m a fan of the Ergon grips! looking sick!

Are you riding in remote areas, or through towns/villages? If you can refill your bottles regularly, I wouldn’t bother…

I’m so jealous of everyone who got their hands on a focus adventure rack, really wish i had bought one…

Your rear drybags setup is quite nice! what is the cage/rack that allows this ?
About water: it also depends if you plan to cook or not. I just did a 500km trip in full autonomy and I had 2,5L with optionally 1,5L extra (a water bladder in an hip bag that I didn’t fill all the time).
During the day I always had at least 1.7 L filled. Ar rhe end of afternoon, I generally maxed the water in prevision of the bivouac (cooking, herbal tea before sleep, tea in the morning).
