So I've been building this bike for the better part of 10 years. I found the frame in a scrap pile behind a bike shop while living in Korea, and I've been adding and taking away over the years, mostly with bits that I've found or acquired for free or trade. Recently bought an appropriate set of tires and some nice(r) pedals. I live in Melbourne but take this out on gravel tracks and farm roads. Would like to do a bit more curvey fast singletrack (I grew up in Wellington NZ). 26inch wheels, so it's more suited to twister stuff I think, but it's super fun to ride on anything suited to 4wd vehicles. The bits that I paid real money for:
Wheels – XT hubs and these wicked blue Mavic rims heavily discounted old stock.
Tires- Holy Rollers
Pedals – Time Atac XC
Chainring – Wolf Tooth
I actually think that might be it, besides cheapish grips/saddle. Everything else i found scrounging hard rubbish/bike shop trash/Hand me downs from mates.

Blue looks good!
Rad as hell.
Tis sick as fuck lad
Cool ride, but Holy chain ring Batman!
Monster thighs from biking where 4x4s tread?
Nice bike!
Your seat is too high which is why you have it pointing down. Level is the only correct saddle angle.
This is awesome, love it.
Hell yea that color is sick and i bet its rolling like a dream on those maxxis!
I see you obviously live in flat country. That chainring isn’t going up any of the hills around here even on the largest cassette cog.
Finally someone else has used that front mud guard. Thought I was the only person to have bought one. Been on 5 different bikes over last 15 years.
