In 1989, when lots of bike couriers cruised Vancouver’s streets, more deliveries meant more money — which often led to aggressive riders. This sparked complaints, so city hall started requiring bike couriers to get a license. We spoke to Mark Huggans, a former courier, about the history of the profession.
