Currently have a 2017 Fuji Sportif 2.1 I'm looking to upgrade. The main reason for the upgrade is wider tier clearance for comfort and I like to do some light gravel (Erie Canal Towpath) at times, but 90% road as well as disc brakes. Fuji will go on the Wahoo trainer full time.

Trying to decide between this and last year's Endurance CF 7 models. First, im good with all colors involved, no problem there.
Biggest difference I can tell is the new 7 has the aerocockpit and updated 105 groupset with 12 gears – both of which seem nice.
Looks like the cables are more fully integrated on the newer model. Newer model is also a lb lighter.

$300 difference isn't crazy. I'm leaning towards the newer model. A bit worried about the aerocockpit as I'm reading it's a bit less adjustable.

Also, should I wait for Black Friday? I'd kind of like to get it sooner so I get to ride it (30 days test) outside whereas winter in upstate NY is…less ideal.

Apologies for the long post and TIA!

  1. I went with the newer model but the old one was automatically out because my last bike was red lol. Cockpit is less adjustable but I sized down on the frame and figured I’d be fine with it since I usually feel too stretched out and it feels good for me. Also, the red has the previous version of 105 which is 11 vs 12 speed; I was able to find a discount code in this sub for $100 off which I recommend as that helped at least cover my shipping. You wait too long and your size will be gone.

  2. You have a road bike: how does it fit to you? measure the Stack+ and Reach+ (to the top of the tops of the handlebar) and compare with the Endurace (numbers in the geometry chart). If it fits, no need to worry about the cockpit.
