The Park has facilities for families to enjoy a brilliant day out in the fresh air. You can eat at our Boat House café or just grab an ice cream. Enjoy your own picnic, but please do not bring BBQs. These are not allowed due to the fire risk.
The park has plenty of open spaces to play your own outdoor games, walk, cycle visit the play areas, ride on the miniature train, feed the birds.
Visit Sandal Castle, scene of the Battle of Wakefield in 1460! It was a favourite castle of Richard III and played its part in the Wars of the Roses.
