That clip ended way better than I thought it would.

Thats an unfortunately placed graphic on those leggings but ill make no jokes because you absolutely killed it. Good job🤙🏼

  3. Hey I know those jumps!

Honestly, you’re landing how you’re supposed to, but not because of your form. These jumps are built to be really forgiving. You are bringing your legs up to your butt before takeoff. That’s a no-no. Try doing those same jumps at a slower speed, but go from the “attack” stance to full extension as your rear wheel leaves the jump. Only bend your knees once you’re in the air. It will feel scary, like you’re launching yourself (because you are) but it adds a ton of stability and prevents the nose dive (dead sailor) that would 100% happen to you if these were larger or higher speed jumps.

The Loam Ranger Illustrates it perfectly:

  4. You’re afraid of gaps? I think it shows and that’s what is lacking the most here. You’re not laid back enough. that’ll come with confidence.
You could start with a bit more distance to ease the acceleration. So you can spend a few meters just to relax, so you can be a bit more stiff in the kick and less active as a result. Right now you land in the landing so it’s perfect, but you are using all your energy to jump so you have less control.
So, don’t think too much about your techniques. Just practice, and relax. It will perfect itself soon.

That looks solid. If you don’t have larger jumps you can still work on these and add variations. You could work on a whip, one handers, one footers, etc..

You could even work on popping even more without adding much more speed (so you get more vertical but don’t overshoot the jump too much).

You’re letting momentum do the hard work and aren’t pulling up so that’s great. The only thing I (might) see is a little extra pop on the end of your takeoff that noses/rotates you over for your landing. At higher speeds this could lead to nose heavy landings. Could be that your high speed rebound is a little high (maybe not adjustable on your rear shock).

Looks like you nailed it otherwise!

  7. Yeah, you def transitioned those WAY more than I expected for asking about your technique.

You look like you may be absorbing a little bit of the lip just before takeoff, but as they are rapid fire, continuing to practice and focusing on timing your jump to just before the lip, you could probably slow the air down and try to add some stylish flair like tweaking the bars or tabling slightly.

Overall just keep working your reps, keep up the good work

Looks pretty good! Got a good arc and looks like you’re clearing everything just fine.

I think it’s time to start moving the bike around in the air for that steez.

Looking good, are you riding with flats or cleats? The only advice I can give is pump and drive with your legs into the face of the jump a bit more instead of pulling up with your feet so much

  10. Just one man’s opinion, but you’ve got a little more bike than skill. Consider a hard tail to train and build up your skills!

  11. You can jump, but you need to preload more as your back is getting a little bucked and on a bigger jump that may cause you issues. Check your rebound isn’t too high too. But yeah, preload and pull a bit, while ‘standing up’ and you will be sailing. Nice work though, looking good!
