I had a Norco Conquest frame gifted to me as an engagement present 7 years ago.(Last of the pictures) When I got it it was already fairly rusted but I loved the look of the frame. 7 years later (3 of those being in the PNW) the frame is too rusted for me to be comfortable riding it.
I can across a cool frame on line that actually was my size so I jumped on it. I swapped my parts over, new tires, rebuilt the wheels and I think it turned out great!

The wheels are hand polished and I added a decorative pattern into the rim with a Dremel. I built the wheels up 3 leading 3 trailing to maximize the nerdyness of the build.

For the record, 10 speed XO pullie wheels work on old XTR 9 speed derailleurs.

This frame rides like a dream. The geo is super front load friendly but still feels controlled without a front load.

B.R.C is a Vancouver based brand that no longer exists but apparently was quite popular in the 90s. They had some cool paint jobs. This one is Lions Gate Bridge green. I found this out riding across the bridge and I almost crashed from looking at my frame, then the railing, then my frame, then the bridge, then my frame.

I'm in love with the look and can't wait to ride this frame into the ground.

  1. Those rims look so cool! Honjo hammered fenders would complement them nicely 🙂
