    There are some of these old schwinns that when complete, carry some value. See the Schwinn Phantom, for example. The springer shock on the front helps with the potential value a lot, but you’re in for a LOT of work to get it looking nice. These are easy to work on without a ton of special tools, but the elbow grease involved, imo, isn’t really worth it. Also, those schwinn wheels only take certain schwinn tires, so expect to pay a bit more for them. Tires, tubes, grips, chain, saddle… the coaster brake could need attention… you’re in a fair bit of money just to get them rolling – and once you take apart the bottom bracket and headset and wheel hubs, you could also need new bearings as these, I’m betting, are likely rusted to the point they aren’t even round. Also, speaking of value, I can’t really tell from your photo, but that red one might even be a 24” instead of a 26”, which decreases the value a lot. Not being an expert on these specific bikes, I don’t know how to tell if it’s the more special Phantom frame, but without the tank and headlight and all that, it would be a difficult sell for a worth-while price. I’d pass if I were in your spot. If you just want to learn a bit about bikes and don’t mind replacing some parts, and trying your hand at restoration on something for free, go for it, but keep your expectations low!

    You took those both home already right? I’d shit myself if I had a score like that. Most of the time here in the south, a meth head would’ve already got 2$ for those at the scrap yard. I’m a state over. I know lol
