  1. Hi all, sorry body text got deleted? 🙁

    Hello Everyone! Please Help!

I’m in desperate need of some help.

This summer I had a previous mystery sound from my right crank that drove me and my bike mechanic mad until we finally found out that my frame had two interior cracks. Luckily my bike was replaced! Enter new bike and new sound!

After several weeks in the shop I’ve been told the new problem has been fixed and it certainly has not.

Can anyone give me some advice? It appears to be only the wheel, not the gears or chain. Occurs mostly when I’m in higher gear and only when load bearing.

Thank you in advance for ANY help !! :))))

  2. Seems like it only happens when you’re pedaling so probably not rear drivetrain or wheel. Also doesn’t really match the rpm of the rear wheel. Its closer to your rate of pedaling but sound could be coming from multiple points contacting or bits flexing as you pedal. Can you try to reproduce the sound with the bike stationary and indoors? Flip your bike upside down and try to pedal. Try pedaling forwards and reverse. Also take a look at the clearance around your chain and front derailleur
