Stage 5 of the 2024 Tour of Poland was marked by a dramatic crash in the final sprint involving Mads Pedersen. Tim Merlier of Soudal Quick-Step powered through the chaos to claim the stage win after 188 kilometers in Katowice, the site of Fabio Jakobsen’s infamous crash. Jordi Meeus finished second, followed by Olav Kooij. Despite the crash, Jonas Vingegaard continues to hold the overall race lead.
