  1. They both are at a ballpark asking price but you can pick on preference and usage since they have quite a lot difference. First the Jamis because that’s the easy one, it’s the budget model Jamis renegade it’s a reliable, comfortable, efficient and practical. Its the A1 so it’s got a aluminium fork not carbon, quick release axles not thru axles, the brakes could be better and the drivetrain is 2×8 claris, reliable but nothing flash.

The Diamondback is much higher end and lighter but it predates a lot of gravel specific components maybe 2016 or 2017 so it has some quirks. It came with a road bike drivetrain, and now has been modified into a 1x setup. Gear range could be limited looks like they got a bigger cassette on there but not huge. It does have full hydraulic brakes. Another 2016 quirk is the nice HED wheels are not intentionally designed as tubeless compatible, you probably can get them tapes up and working but also not guaranteed. The Jamis even as base model has wtb tubeless ready wheels. The Diamondback also doesn’t have as much tire clearance as the Jamis and just the basic eyelets so the Jamis is a more versatile camping option for sure.

  2. The Diamondback is much nicer.

I have the same HED Tomcat wheels on my gravel bike and they set up tubeless just fine with tape, valves, and juice from Muc-Off.
