What am I missing for a weekend bike trip to a gravel bike race across state. Doing everything I can to make a comprehensive kit for event weekends. I have all of the standard items in my saddlebag for the event and out on the bike but I want to make sure I have anything incase things go wrong after a scouting ride and the bike shops are closed.

That is a very nice, very well thought out travel kit. The only thing I would add is quality duct tape. Not the cheap stuff that leaves adhesive everywhere. And maybe an extra thing of bar tape.

Nice kit!
I’ve been using an old tool box, but I really like how organized this is.

Is there a 1st aid kit in there? I also never go into the back country without my Garmin inReach. But some cell phone can make SOS calls over satellite service too.

So next weekend I have a race the next state over, about a 3hr drive. I’m camping there the night before.
Prepped bike (brakes bled, shifting tuned, checked pads for wear)
Bar bag with spare tube, patch kit, CO2, snacks, pump, and a bleed stop kit.
Saddle bag with another tube, multi tool, chain pliers, tire levers, CO2.
2 bottles on the bike
I’ll have a change of clothes, crud cloth, dopp kit, and camping stuff (sleeping bag, pad, pillow). Also bringing a pump and pressure gauge. That’s about it though. The race is only 5hrs (I hope).
