Dang, do you know what you hit? Hopefully you weren’t stranded too badly. Sucks man, I can relate. This spring I suffered a huge gash in my relatively new gravel bike’s rear tire sidewall, someone had sawed off a steel post an inch above ground level in a grassy section of trail and I didn’t see it until I was looking for what had just exploded my tire. Sometimes shit happens.

Happened to me once. Ran over a piece of scrap metal while avoiding being doored by a motorist.

Are those tires gatorskins? I used to use them, and found them to be quite robust.
