I've been using the dashcam.bike app for a year now, on my old phone, it worked pretty well. But that old phone is so old all apps are starting to drop support for it, so I had to get a new phone. I opted for something a lot more beefy, thinking I'd enjoy getting 30fps videos and feeling safer with a bigger battery, an Oukitel WP33 Pro.
Thing is, I didn't consider that this phone would simply be too heavy, and too big, for the dashcam.bike mount. It already barely had the strength to hold my old phone firmly, without taking a nosedive, on our quality Belgian roads…
So, would anyone have recommendations for a phone mount that is open on the back (does not cover the camera), and that can hold such a thick phone?
