SRAM Apex double tap shifter needs to manually be pushed back when downshifting

Rear shifter gets stuck when downshifting and I manually have to move it back into position before shifting again. First shift in the video works as intended but I think it’s because there is no cable tension.

I flushed the shifter with degreaser and quite a bit of gunk came out but didn’t solve the issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
