I am wanting to get into riding as I’m getting a bit older and joints hurt after running. Riding paved trails, roadways possibly off-road on well groomed trails. I want a bike that is quality but want to buy used and get a deal before I splurge on something brand new not knowing if I will enjoy the hobby.

You can’t go wrong with a Gary Fisher. Nice to see they still make ‘em!
hard to say, with the single picture it doesnt look stock. 160 is a good price, if it fits.
bikes have moved on 27.5 or 29″ wheels and this 26.
that said for your needs a rigid fork hybrid is best
