These are stans darts and have saved my ass 5 or so times now, and never let me down. And that includes a sidewall tear that me and my riding partner thought was a ride ender.
Oh ps it’s not clear from the photo what’s broken, but the darts just pop on the end of the black shaft and come away when you retract it from the hole.
yeah even though I’ve gone tubeless, I carry a tube, silca frame pump (the lezyne mini pump failed me, would constantly remove the damn valve core on me), levers ALONG WITH my tubeless plug kit.
I had a few bad flats which resulted in *two* rides being called in for this year.
I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to mini pump/co2 hassles. Frame pump is almost as good as the track pump.
I hate that fucking tool. Same happened to me. Both sides broke so easily.
Darts are good for large tears, but the plastic heads can break. Dynaplugs work better for smaller tears and the brass heads will get through anything (especially the pointy ones).
For unsupported rides in remote places, I carry both kinds of plugs, hand pump, one TPU tube and I run tire inserts. I haven’t used a tube or damaged a rim since riding inserts, but I have ridden home on the inserts. Based on some advice on a podcast, I think I may start carrying a small bottle of sealant.

Tubeless are more trouble than they’re worth — unless they’re not. It’s a fuggin crapshoot
I agree. Unreliable and expensive. Bacon strips all the way. Also, bacon goes well with pancakes, FWIW.

Dynaplug racer pro!! You can even get mounts for it to put under bottle cages. Tis the bomb.

Happened to me and they gave me a free replacement and some extra darts. They had a newer version than the one I had that they said remedied this problem. Is this Dart kit new or have you had it a while? Either way I’d recommend shooting them an e-mail
