    I would go to the hardware store and find something to make an extension for the bracket.

  2. You are meant to attach the fender to the single bolt further up the fork. That way you avoid any interference with the disc brake. Looks a little funky, but works great. You will need to shorten the fender stays once you’ve got the position set. 

    Then you just need an extension for the tab at the top. They sell purpose made ones – if there’s a shop near you that does a lot of city/commuter bike, they might have something in stock. Or you can rig something up fairly easily.

    Sorry if I’m misunderstanding the problem. But why don’t you attach the fender poles to the hole in the middle of the fork?
