Proportions looks ridiculous because it's a XXL frame lol. 64cm top tube and 60cm seat tube.
I love this bike and it totally rips. I wanted to do something closer to a modern MTB in parts with the geo of a retro bike (and small wheels ofc). I obviously would have liked to have built a steel frame but it's nearly impossible to find something in this size with a 27.2 seat tube for the dropper post. Everything else I've found always has a 27.0 or 26.8 seat tube. It was also a fun bonus running discs as all my other xbikes are rim brake. I mostly built it up to rip on blue trails and pump tracks, but with the ability to ride out to the trailhead. I also can do some bike packing if I don't feel like taking my other rigs with more traditional touring set ups.
I'd love to see other people aluminum xbikes. If you have any questions about the build or parts I'd be happy to answer.

It’s like a new new bike!
Lots of love 😘
What’s the thing on the fork?
That build looks [oddly familiar ](https://www.reddit.com/r/xbiking/s/3lwKOrJsNe) i can assure you that it will be a lot of [fun](https://www.reddit.com/r/xbiking/s/83YNHpskUO) even on more than just pump tracks and flow trails. I took mine on a red trail with a bunch of small drops, jumps and rock gardens this weekend and it was a blast. Also took it down a black rated Enduro trail, was still easily able to take care of it. Needless to say i love your build, I’d love an xxl frame like that.
if it says kona, i like
