for me it’s only the brake calipers that knock on the bike, the paintwork is superb.

  2. 1. It’s your bike, you can do what you want with it. This paint scheme isn’t my thing, but it’s not my bike.

    2. You can always strip the paint if you want to go back to the “raw” look.

    3. Using a Moots as a commuter?!?

Your friend is right, you ruined it, Fortunately if you send it to my mootspa, I will slowly and kind of carefully remove that paint using traditional methods of time, airborne grit, applications of organic mud and sporadic deep paint abrasive therapy as required.

I was looking for a scratch or chip because my opinion about other peoples paint means nothing.

Mother of god, that bike’s a true beauty. You can tell your friend to booger off.

  6. I’d go for a chrome seat post to match the rest but other than that this bike is sublime.

    It’s your bike, do you.

  7. Looks great! Doesn’t Moots offer factory paint options? I seem to recall they did. Does your friend know not all Moots are naked?

I’m a hobby frame builder and leave my bikes unpainted, raw steel, no files on the fillets, markings still left on the bike from measurements… it gets a flash rust after rainy rides and gravel. It looks old and rusty after a while.

Many people tell me my bike would look better if I painted it.. I tell them when they make their own hand made bike they can paint it whatever fuck color they want… I get to do what I want with my bike, that I made, with my hands.

They get pretty quiet after I say this.

Just ride your bike and have fun.

I envy your friend for apparently having no problems to worry about so he has to create some in his head.

  10. The raw ti thing is like the bare carbon look of every 2000’s bike. Your bike looks sweet

Kind of a shame you use it as a commuter though

  11. Your commuter bike is a Moots? What is your road bike?!?! While I prefer the raw titanium, it’s no different than some people prefer a black car over a red car. The best part about Ti is that you can always blast it and make it raw Ti again, same as when you scratch it up after an accident. All that being said, I love the blue.

  12. If you spend north of $10k on a bike you can do with it whatever the fuck you want in my opinion.

Your raw ti shows on your stays, matches the cranks and the stem. Looks bangin’, though all 4 of my Ti bikes are raw, I think this looks great.
