It is a 3 piece crankset from a department store bike, need it removed there is a screw stuck in the bottom bracket and I can’t remove it.

Bottom bracket wrench, or if brave enough, a hammer and a flat head screw driver and gently tap it.
It’s left hand thread. Try turning it the wrong way.
Use a rubber mallet and a piece of wood and tap it out
Take a screwdriver you don’t care about and place a corner of driver in the slots. Use a hammer to unfasten the cap.
Your choices are hammer or mallet paired nicely with a screw driver you don’t care about or medal rod you don’t care about.
tap it with a hammer and screw driver it can take some time it took me 3 hours to get it off i eventually used a machine to make it loose enough
