Anybody know anything about these old French road bikes? I read the Thomas Kunich article on restomodding vintage French bikes, but according to the 'seller' (she basically gave it away! It was her grandfather's) but yeah according to the seller it was restored 7 years ago and then ridden for 4 and put away for 3. Seems like it'll probably just need a wheel and some TLC?

I think the brakes are Dia-Compe but I’m not sure. The stem shifters are gorgeous but idk how practical
Would have been a ‘cheap’ bike in its day (early 80s?), but someone upgraded wheels (very possibly the stock rims were steel) and brakes (lovely centrepulls) and obviously loved riding it. It’s very handsome, especially the fork. Nevr-Dull will get the tired alloy parts looking better than new.
I would see if you live near a bike co op. Good place to learn and may get the necessary parts to complete it.
