Getting a new De Rosa 70 with Campy 12s.
I wanna built it light as I’ll use it mostly to climb. I was thinking to get the Hyperon Ultra which are 1240gr and 35mm. Though it would look better with the WTO Ultra which are 1405gr with a rim or 45mm.
Any suggestion?

For lightest there is clearly one winner. I have the WTO 45 and they are fantastic. Won’t hold you back on days in the hills
Personally I’d go for the Bora Ultra’s, they are more allround and the 45mm rim height is just ideal. But both are great looking and will be performing really well. Which Campy 12s groupset will you be choosing?
I’d happily take the extra weight for the WTO’s
I have the Boras and would definitely get them again. Unless you’re competing for a top spot on your local hill climbs and every gram matters, I think 165 gr won’t be holding you back. The Boras just look so cool.
Another option would be to split the difference and get the Bora Ultra WTO 33s, which weigh 1385 gr.
I have WTO and they are amazing.
Out of curiosity, you say the bike will be mostly for climbing. What’s an a average climbing ride look like for you?
I have Bora 45 WTOs (non-Ultra) and they are absolutely fantastic. I can only imagine the Ultras would be even better.
This is a good problem to have. Thank you all for riding Campy.
