'wankers'……………ha ha ha ha ha. Nearly spat my coffee out I was laughing so much.
Morningππ΄ββοΈ
Awesome Juliet, the caravan driver is a total w***er! Shame about the garmin trouble but glad you got going. Maybe see you in the peaks sometime!!
Hey Juliet, great video as always! Where is your jacket from?
Great vid Juliet.. Sorry to see the Garmin trouble I use Wahoo bolt v2 itβs excellent.. I use Silca pumps also first class, quick to use, reliable π man that driver really was an idiot crazy.. glad you had a lovely time it looked amazing beautiful scenery π΄ββοΈπ΄π»π Pete
use a map π
So, how did you get your garmin working again?
Why can't more places be like Norway, where you can wild camp anywhere that's not "developed?"
Phooey, it's a shame you got the Garmin working. I was enjoying your temporary teen angst phase! π
Hey Juliet, great post! I'm liking your new tent which seems very similar to the Soloist in many ways, perhaps not the same quality of materials.
After conversing with you many moons ago, I also bought a Soloist, and have to say it was a spot on recommendation by you, I love it!
However, always trying 2 lower weight of equipment, and after seeing you use the ultra 1 by Alpkit, I have to admit my curiosity was aroused. I have asked you your opinion of it in a previous post but you didn't get the time to respond. I totally understand you can't respond to every post, you just wouldn't have the time, but thought I would respectfully "nag" you again.
What would be really interesting would be a review post of the Soloist(budget), the Ultra (mid-range), and your new Big Agnes (Higher end) tents in a bang for the buck challenge?
Sorry to waffle on, but I do greatly value your experience and opinions. Looking forward to the rest of the posts on this adventure.
Sorry for the wanker… we got them in Norway aswell.
Yes people in cars are assholes to cyclists in Norway. But to be fair, the people in skintight lycra, and super expensive bikes, does act really badly in many cases here. They scream "Share the road", but do the oposite themselves.
Love to see your videos from wherever you ride.
Always smiling
Not too clever from Pickled Foreskin racing up close, lugging a caravan, which do swing about a bit at the best of times, then blasting the horn ! Maybe carry a Molotov cocktail next to the Garmin.
May the Norwegian branch of the cycling Gods, watch over you. π³π΄ π
Im a bit embarrassed that my fellow Norwegian is behaving like that.
In Norway you are considered a vehicle while riding one the road, so you have as much right as them to use the road!
@11:40 As a Norwegian I apologize for all Norwegian drivers that don't respect bikers. On a nice wide road like rv52 over Hemsedalsfjellet there is no reason to cause problems.
Only bikers that might bug me are those pro and semi pro ones that don't use the bike paths on busy roads and cause a queue.
Bummer about the drivers…….but if they drive anything like my good friend Dan (from Denmark) he's got a heavy foot! LOL He is at least respectful however. Another great video, have a great stay at camp! ππ
You're so pretty π€
I have a Garmin running watch and I'll put a copy of the route on that as well in case my bike computer dies or breaks. I have a watch on anyway, so it's perfect for that. I also use it for heart rate, since it'll "broadcast HR" and it's paired with my bike computer. It's a 3 in one solution. Watch, HR strap, and backup bike computer. Been doing it for years and it's definitely worked out for the best many times. Great video!
03:05 Licence plate UA26863. In Norway you can easily search and find the name of that wanker's car. Would be a shame if someone sent him a message asking him why he was such a wanker….
Use Komoot. It's brilliant! Komoot is an app on your phone so no extra expensive gear needed and it talks to you making navigation really easy. Also it will show the surface for each section of your ride, so you'll know whether you'll be riding on grass. An interesting video as always π
So much Dumbassery on those roads! Stay safe and donβt let them steal your light!
No way! My sleeping bag would take up ur whole front role! What were u using?? As for those cars.. I donβt get it .. jealousy is only thing I can think of
On behalf of Norwegian idiot drivers, I apologize. Hope you have a nice trip further!
Fabulous vid Juliet, pleased you survived the idiot drivers. I guess we are not alone when it comes to bad drivers on the road.
I always try to watch this lady but she always moves the camera like crazy
Loving the Norwegian adventure! Thanks! BTW, will you and Juliana try the Rwandan race again?
you should try the kings road between sweden and norway on the trΓΈndelag border. beautiful scenery π no asswipes on four wheels out there for sure
Wankers!! Hahaπ I hate βem too!!
Julliet – A suggestion for the Garmin. Do a factory rest. That will blow away all the route data, but it may restore functionality. Then you could redownload maps when you are around wifi. Here is the instructions off the garmin site:
Turn device off.
Hold the Down key while powering on the device.
Continue holding the down key until the βFactory Resetβ prompt appears.
Select OK to clear
Be Safe!
It's amazing how many people seem to have issues with Garmin. I have a Wahoo Roam which, occasionally, has issues but nothing like the Garmin seems to. ππ for the Roam π
Totally agree with your comment on the driver with the caravan! Said drivers usually get the middle finger from me when I'm on local roads myself.
Chatting to camera whilst cycling up a 14% incline. π³
Your pronunciation of Β«skolebolleΒ» and Β«kanelbolleΒ» is very good π. Norwegian motorists are awful, especially towards cyclists. The Swedes are so much better.
Iβve had a lot of freezing problems with my Garmin 840 this summer in Germany bike tour. Sooooo muchβ¦ Never happened before.
what are Steinfrukter?
Wan$ers lol π, nearly chocked on my beans on toast . Always use my phone for navigation with qaudlock. Yes thereβs a crash risk , bit it hasnβt failed me yet.
