Use a bank or qp as flyout, keep the bike close and under you, remember it’s mostly about the movment in the bars. As the bike goes away from you, pull the bars back and down into you. Practice doing them standing just using your arms to get it around, easier to practice the motion before you start trying them out of something💪

I haven’t done one for years but your knees need to be higher than the handlebars. Quarterpipe or something for the extra height might help

You need to hopping higher or waiting til ur higher up to throw them that’s why ur legs are on ground instantly… like others said try flyout of bank or something u need more air to get the rotation down while still airborne

You need to kick it harder with your feet aswell, your relying to much on your bars to spin

  5. Your front leg comes out and around way too much. I’m learning them myself and it was a game changer when I realized how to bring it straight back and “out of the way”. It doesn’t need to be as far as you think.

It’s also hard to keep the bike low. I’m working now on staying forward and kicking almost down instead of up, which is what you are doing. Kicking up feels natural especially because you’re hopping in and it might start to kind of work, but it really screws up the way it comes back to you. It also throws your body back, hence why your feet are immediately on the ground.

Screw all the people saying you aren’t ready. It’s not impossible and they’re the kind of people who could be a lot better without that kind of mentality. A few switches in your form and it’ll look better, but even if you “aren’t ready” now, a month of smart and consistent practice will get you close enough, and that’s nothing in the grand scheme of things.

From watching videos of successful tailwhips, you should see that they jump off of their back tire while you seem to be jumping and trying to pull the bike off both tires at the same time. Idk shit tho

I say this not to be mean, but quit wasting your time bro. You’re nowhere even close to doing the easy part of a tail whip let alone the hard part AND it’s on flat ground. Focus your energy on learning things within your skill level for now. Tail whips are an expert level flat ground trick. Don’t let that bring you down, I had to realize the same thing and after years I eventually could hop whip.

  8. Man I don’t have any tips . But I will say back in the mid school day or even now if u seen someone do this trick a flat tailwhip they are a Freak of nature Beast ! lol

Work on jumping way higher and a little speed will help.👍 Do it on ramps until you are ready on flat your feet are staying still too you gotta whip it bro! Flat you basically have to have the speed of a double on a ramp.
