  1. That German retake decision of the referee/video judges was ridiculous. Why? Because the German player knocked with his leg against the back of the goalkeepers head. Forcing him down on the ground and the bal. Justice took place after missing the second try.

Irgendwann so etwas trainiert? Man man man 🙈😏👎

  7. Congratulation to the Dutch team. However, the disgusting behaviour of some players of both teams after the match should lead to disciplinary consequences. This is Olympic games. Sorry, but these guys are a disgrace, not gold and silver medal champions.

  8. It’s not only that they were fighting for Gold. It’s beating the Germans! On penalties!!
The Dutch are even keener to beat the Germs than the English.
History is not easily forgotten, especially when the Germans so often win on penalties!

  9. Many many congratulation to Dutch ppl,as an Indian very happy that German(very bad losers) did't win but Dutch,we could beat Germany in our Semi's but all refree decision went against us,while we were better side,im a big fan of Dutch teams, wishing you ppl all the best for women's final against China, please win the gold medal,

  10. The German goalkeeper Danneberg provoced the Dutch before the final by claiming in the press that the Dutch were afraid of the Germans and therefore wouldn't stand a chance. It only motivated the Dutch team. That was the reason they went up to Danneberg after the shootout and gave him te silencer. Wich made the German players furious.

  11. For people who want to know whole story and the people thinking the Dutch behavior would have been justified should read this:

How about you take a page out of your own advice book and tell the actual whole story instead of a biased one for the Dutch? Saying the opponent would be ‘afriad‘ in the German sports-sphere isn’t supposed to mean that the opponents are in fact afraid. It’s a German idiom for ´we are a good team and the opponents know that, we don’t have to be shy‘. Translating it in a literal sense is absolutely incorrect in this sense. It basically comes from a self-critical POV and means ˋwe shouldn’t sell ourselves under value‘. This is purely on the Dutch side for translating it incorrectly in order to rail up the Dutch against the Germans. And the Dutch should know better considering that they are capable of speaking German very well + this idiom being a very typical one in Germany.

In the very same Interview the Germans were complimenting the Dutch team a lot amid showed respect and admiration. But the Dutch media purposely left that out of their magazines and news, just like you are doing now.

And either way it wouldn’t justify the unsportsmanlike behavior of that Dutch player, and especially not the Dutch player grabbing that one German player at his throat for trying to talk to that one Dutch provocateur. Quite insane of you trying to justify as it of it would on the same pedestal. But then you’re at the same time annoyed at what one German player had said before the interview? That makes zero sense. The behaviors the Dutch players was much worse either way. He also humiliated the whole German team with that gesture, not just one single player. A proper reaction would have been to say something back in an interview afterwards, instead of humiliating all of Germany. Not to mention that the Dutch do also conduct interviews before matches and are know for provocative comments, in all kinds of sports.

A proper response of the Dutch would have been to say something back in an interview but I guess they were, in fact, too afraid to do that before the match ended 😂
