I've finished this rather long-term project of mine today and thought you might enjoy some pictures.
Peugeot UO-8 "GSR" (Auto-enthusiasts will recognize this as "Gelb-Schwarzer-Renner").
Done:
- Bottom bracket replacement (I will stay away from cottered cranks from now on)
- Headset rework
- Groupset replaced by Shimano 600 Arabesque (except the headset, which did not match the fork tube sizing)
- Wheelset replaced w/ Miché/Mavic/Suntour combination (if anyone knows where to source new cones in DE, I'd be interested)
- Regrease, Cables, Polish, etc. etc.
Not Super-decent but sure is the fastest ride I own now (on pavement).
Last two pictures are pre-restore.
