A while ago, I hit something metal. This tore a huge hole in my tire, as well as puncturing the inside of my rim and denting the outside. Local bike shop recommended a new rim, so I bought a new one that’s been working fine since. I’m curious though, could I just retape the rim and use it? Or is this rim truly compromised?
