Saw this one. Glad they cut the price since $1k was absolutely insane. Clearly built by a person that works at Wheat Ridge Cyclery so it’s probably in great condition.

Multitracks always get my vote.
It’s got some good components on there. The price is high but definitely less than the sum of it’s parts.
I’ve sold a few 750s I converted to drop bars with a modern drivetrain and they both sold for a similar price.
If it’s specc’d the way you like it’s probably not a bad deal.

Its only a good deal if you like the blingy parts. The only thing that’s really weird is they didn’t spend any money on wheels, its a low-end single walled wheelset. that’s probably the original to the bike.
If you don’t care for the bling factor, and just want similar specs though IMO i’d go for a brand new Trek FX1 disc its $600USD right now, with a 46/30, and a 11-32 cassette.

Multitracks are great bikes, but not for $600. They are wayyyyyy too plentiful to sell for that much. It looks like he upgraded everything but the wheels, so his price reflects how much he spent, not what it’s worth. Re-doing a whole bike from the frame, even with budget or used parts, can easily come close to over $1000.

Why spend $600 on a bike that’s ready to roll when you could buy a frame for $100 and then spend $800 on new components and accessories?

I’m of two minds, here:
On the one hand, there are some tasty parts. Lots of top-end stuff, selected pretty thoughtfully. There’s not a lot left you could reasonably upgrade- and that’s not something you’re likely be able say about another $600 bike.
On the other hand- those bikes, when new, were entry-level consumer hybrids. They were sold to people who rode bikes 3x a year on bike paths. And they cost a couple hundred bucks- 3? 4? When they were new. That frame probably cost Trek $30 to make back in the day, and I feel a little weird lavishing parts this fancy on a frame of that caliber.
I know that’s part of what we do in this sub. I’ve done it. It’s fine. It’s just that for the money being talked about here, I’d like to do the build myself.
