Was biking to work when a shard of glass punctured the tire and inner tube of my front wheel. There’s no damage to the tire sidewall but the shard made its way through the tire and punctured the inner tube. I’m going to patch the inner tube and keep it as a spare but will use a new tube for the time being. Can I just put a patch on the inside of the tire and rubber cement the outside of the tire?
Or is this tire a loss :/
Thanks in advance, never done this before.

You can use krazy glue to seal up the cut in tire. Old biker trick
I’ve replaced the inner tube and patched the inside of the tire as well. I’ll get another tire too at some point – thanks 🙂
Can you ride it like that? Absolutely!
But it will never be the same, and you’ll eventually end up getting a new one…
It’s fine. If it were me, idk if I’d even worry about the outside (but hard to tell exactly down the pictures). I’d just put a 1”x2” piece of Gorilla Tape on the inside and call it good.

Patching the inside will work until you can replace the tire. Rubber cement on the outside won’t contribute much.
