new to posting so I dunno where my text went! sorry if this is a repeat:

I hadn’t ridden my bike in a LONG time and got back on it a couple of weeks ago – it’s a 2008 Bianchi Valle commuter. I lived on it for years but neglected it when I moved to the East Coast. When I got back on it, I realized how worn down everything was, so I decided to rebuild! I knew basic bike maintenance (even though I hadn’t been using those skills in a while) but nothing like installing and adjusting components – I feel great about it – it rides and shifts smooth (after doing lots of learning about how derailleurs work)! I leaned heavily on the Big Blue Book and Park Tool vids (Calvin Jones is a TREASURE), and now this is all I want to spend my time doing! I’m curious about other folks’ rebuild/build/restoration adventures … and if folks have any advice for further learning! I have a mid-70s (i think) Olmo that needs some work, and it’s got a campy group so I know I’m in for some new skills…
