I'm changing my cranks on a seven year old bike and I was planning on transferring the pedals to the new cranks.
Not having much success. Even using my feet to push the wrench, I've moved it about half a centimetre. I'm not really getting anywhere. There's no hex on the other side, it's just flat with the indicator of which side the pedal is for.
Is there something I'm supposed to be doing that I'm not? Would I be better off just getting some new pedals? If I do get some new pedals will they just fit on any crank?
I'm using this crank and this is what I'd probably pick up if I have to get new pedals.

Did you consider that the right side is right threaded and the left side left threaded?
If there was no grease applied when it was mounted it might be hard to loosen them too. So using something like WD40 on the thread might help.
First off when the wrench is on, towards the front of the bike is tighten, towards the back of the bike is loosen. Now best method is to stand parallel to the bike and have your arms over the bike to lock your elbows and twist with your shoulders.
Get a pipe that’s big enough to fit your wrench.
Get a friend to stand on the pedals.
Push down towards the back of the bike.
Penetrating oil and 24 hours. Also see if you can extend the pedal wrench, would have been simpler if there was a hex hole on the other side of the pedal.
Put the bike upside down and put your body weight onto the pedals , but do it the way as if you was going to pedal the bike
