I am looking at getting back to cycling and is looking to get an entry level gravel bike for mix of road, gravel biking and daily commute to and from work.
I saw this used 2021 Giant Talon 2 with a ultegra group set for 1500 Canadian (~1100USD).
I am not super familiar with different group sets but I googled and realized that Ultegra on its own is worth more than what the seller is asking for.
My expected ownership will be like the following:
-bike will be stored in door only
-bike will likely be used as a commuter in winter in Canada prairies (only in above -15C, but lots of salt and snow on the road)
-mix of gravel and paved roadway (highway for training purposes)
So my question is, based on my particular needs, should I pick this up or spend around the equivalent for a brand new bike such as Cannondale Topstone 4? I am also wary of knocked off ultegra as I understand they are out there. To be honest, I probably wouldn’t even noticed the difference between different group set, but just based on monetary value alone, this seems too good to be true.
Any advises are appreciated, thank you!

You’ll get less bike for that money new. I would go for it. It looks like a great bike for the price. You’ll have to wash the salt off it often during winter if you want it to last long.

Looks like a Revolt to me, Talon is a mountain bike. Are you in the USA?
Def a revolt, but for the money not bad. Not my cup of tea but I work for a giant dealer and service a lot of revolts. Their riders seem to love them. Ultegra is a nice road group. Make sure to have it inspected by your local shop for recall. Free for you and shimano pays the shop to check for the recall. Win win
The fourth picture of the bike shows where the chain stay and the seatstay come together and the rear caliper is in between. There is a weld right beside the caliper that looks awkwardly placed. Giant may have manufactured them that way and if that is the case it is fine, but without knowing that looks bad.
