Just finished my first real bikepacking trip across the alps! ~850km, 16000hm in seven days mostly on roads and a bit of gravel!
I did some trips over multiple days before, but not with camping like this time.
I use a city-bike (cube nuroad) and changed out the cassette to an 11-40, which works fine with the grx for me without any further modifications. My lowest ratio is 30-40, which was great for all the climbing with my loaded bike.
I plan on cycling back home to bavaria through Croatia, Slovenia and Austria for another 1 – 2 weeks. I really enjoy the time on the road and the spontaneous life that I have while traveling, it's the perfect compensation for all the learning I had to do for my summer exams!
