Try putting it in a stand and turning the pedals while looking carefully at all the places that have things moving.
Use your ingenuity to decide questions to eliminate things:
– does it happen when the wheels are turning but the pedals are not?
– does it happen when only the front wheel is turning?
– does it happen when you turn the crank but not the pedal?
– does it happen in only one gear on the rear?
– does it happen in only one gear on the front?
– <enter your own list of additional elimination questions here>.
