Just got lucky & picked this beauty up from a friend of mine. Does anyone know what year it could be? I was thinking 85, but it doesn't have welded on pitbull brake mounts, it has a 2-piece bracket that clamps onto the uppermost part of the seat stays that the rear brake is mounted too & the chain stays are straight so im kind of stumped. the seat clamp is also not welded on which i read somewhere was a feature on 84s & below. the serial # is on the underside of the bottom bracket & not on the rear dropout if that means anything also. I'd appreciate any help if anyone knows. Thanks my people!!!

It looks like it has a threadless stem in the picture and those weren’t used until the mid 90’s.
