In all likelihood, the derailleur hanger broke. Bit hard to see from the picture. Thatis a sacrificial part that is supposed to break to protect the derailleur.
Can be easily replaced, should cost 20 bucks or so. The trick will be finding the right one as there are literally 100s of them.

Replace the hanger and derailleur. I do this every year ( not dramatic as that).

Hangers are between 15-30 bucks, and nx derailleurs are like 115. I’m sure you can find a deal on the derailleur. My shop charges 30 bucks for a derailleur install, and if I was the mechanic working on it, I would just include the hanger install, since that’s barely any more work than a derailleur. Prices will vary store to store though. It’s also pretty easy to do yourself.
